I came up with this idea because I could never find cute flip flops that matched the boutique style outfits I would make my daughter, Besides the plan old navy flip flops that had the annoying strap on the back...I always ended up cutting that strap off and decorating the flip flop myself... Anyways one day out of necessity I decided I would try out making my daughter a pair of flip flops to match an outfit I had made for her the night before, since I wasn't going to be able to travel 45min to the next town to go to old navy, in time for the event I had made the outfit for.
Well, I loved how they turned out and that the lasted forever, and I could completely customize them which was awesome. So I decided to sit down and make a quick tutorial to share with all my readers.
So here it is:
You will need:
Foam sheets in the colors of your choice
hot glue gun
scissors
ribbon
and anything else you want to decorate with... be creative.
I hope you understood and enjoyed my tutorial! If you have any questions feel free to ask
The completed pair of flip flops (last photo) is before I finished decorating them you can make them as fancy and fun as you like. You could even trade the ribbon for braided fabric strips with fabric flowers......
If you try out my tutorial please send me a picture of your finished flip flops and I will do a blog post about your cute creations.
Thanks,
Leslie
